NASA Extends Proposal Due Date for Rapid Response Space Works (RRSW)

On March 11, 2010, the NASA/Ames Research Center issued Amendment 2 under the Rapid Response Space Works (RRSW) solicitation. The purpose of this amendment is to add a task order, entitled "Multi-Mission Modular Payload Development," to the MSV portion of the solicitation and extend the proposal due date until 2:00pm, PDT on April 12, 2010. The objective of this contract is to acquire an operational capability to meet war fighter requirements through development, operation, and sustainment of the RRSW. When operational, the RRSW will provide the capability for the Department of Defense to meet rapid response timelines delivering space effects for Joint Force Commander (JFC) and USSTRATCOM-defined time-critical operational needs.
This full and open competition will result in multiple award indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with cost-plus-fixed-fee (CPFF) and/or a cost-plus-incentive-fee (CPIF) task orders. The potential value of this contract is $500 million over a five year period of performance.
